Almost 1,000 business, education and community leaders attended The Learning Partnership’s 15th annual Champions of Public Education Tribute Dinner on May 8, 2013, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. At this event we celebrated and honoured the contributions of three distinguished individuals who have shown exemplary leadership in supporting a strong public education system to create a better future for all Canadians: Rick Waugh, O.C., CEO of Scotiabank; John Stackhouse, Editor-in-Chief of The Globe and Mail; and Aditya Jha, O.C., C.M., LL.D.
